2500 will perform better and be faster. IF you can get the 760 for cheap though, doesn't matter.

I know the 2500 with some tweaks is even capable of folding bigavd.... 760, no way in hell lol.

different cpus, one (1156 760) you can overclock easily, the other involves signing a pact with the devil and such. and not much oc.

at stock id take the 2500 1155 all the way

How is this even a fair comparison when comparing the current generation of Core family versus the previous generation. If performance is all that matters then get the Core i5 2500 as it is using the LGA1155 which is upgradable to the Ivy Bridge with just a BIOS update.
