Default i7 2600K Batch 3050A422 [Updated 3-31-11]

Not wanting to really cause any "hysteria" or panic...

But today I was trying to build a system and I have 3 of these processors from this batch and all 3 will allow the system to install and update drivers but when I'm downloading something it will freeze and not continue.

I inserted my memtest 86+ v4.1 disk of which I have used many times and it freezes and locks the processor.

I've tried 2 difference 1155 boards, 2 different types of memory, and 2 different power supplies and they all exhibit the same problems.

These 3 processors were purchased from NCIX.

** Update **
Batch 3049A423 is working properly

Hmmm, that is the exact same batch as what I have in hand right now. I won't be putting it together until Thursday as that is when I get my new psu. I really hope that all is fine.

Just got mine delivered(to work)

My batch is L048A937

Will test when i get home. Luckily it's not this potential broken batch haha.

Edit okay sorry didn't have time. I got the cpu/heatsink mounted, ram installed. I have no video card because NCIX is dumb... but hopefully can use a different one tonight.

Please don't be patronizing.

You do know where the memory controller resides on 1155 systems right?

And if you read the post you'd see that a completely different batch works perfectly fine.

In fact the batch we got today is OLDER than those we initially purchased.
