My System Specs

Default Tiny upgrade

Hey guys, been rocking this Q6600 for a long time, seen a nice Phenom X6 1055T / Asus M4A79 Deluxe / OCZ 8GB DDR2-1066 for 225$ combo

What do you think of this compared to the Intel i currently have ?

i will keep my intel for a spare PC but really looking to unbottleneck my 5970 in gaming :P

my card never goes higher then 60% Usage

Post Compare AMD Phenom II X6 1055T (Thuban 6c), Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.40GHz Processor

Check out this chart on Tom's: Compare AMD Phenom II X6 1055T (Thuban 6c), Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.40GHz Processor , mind you your processor is OC'ed but still, it might give your a better understanding.

yeah well i will most likely overclock this one with watercooling so i'm guessing 3.4Ghz on this will be enough to power up my 5970 ? :P

Cant wait for next week

I'd try and find a DDR3 based board combo. especially since you can pull the DDR3 from your extreme and supplement whatever RAM you get.

Its a good deal, but I have to agree with LarkStarr. I wouldn't invest anything in DDR2 now.

if you have $300 - buy a 1055t and an 890 chipset, move your ram, vid card, hdd and etc over from your current rig, sell your mobo and cpu.
