E6750 temp help?

I'm running my E6750 @ 3.5 GHz stock heatsink 438x8

After running orthos for 1hour both cores are steady around 55C is this too hot should I lower my clock speed?

Nah....but you're getting there....You might want to change your HS into something better! Is better for your CPU! Remember.....Cooler = Better!

not that bad

That seems ok for stock volts. But as Prof says try and work on the temps.

Your about the same as my E6750 (with a sytheninja revB and 1 NFP-12 fan). That said Im looking to improve these temps with some MX-2 another fan and the thermalright extreme heatsink.

I think your ok for gaming but cutting it fine for something like folding.

where are you reading temps from?

use core temp 0.96 if you're not.

Mine is at 43C in coretemp at 3.6GHz with the TRUE right now

my CPU temp is 46C @ 3.5Ghz and the temps on both cores is at 55C

with coretemp? sorry to be repetitive but lots pf programs can read the core's temps (speedfan etc), but only the program CoreTemp does it right...

i use speedfan when i try and use core temps i get error msg saying unable to load drives and the program opens and closes until i end the task

Nothing to worry about.

ok, speedfan is notorious for false core temps though, I would say to be safe to add at least 10 to your temps to be safe.

Try uninstalling it right off the PC and download the latest one here and try again

Core Temp

speedfan and coretemp

I get a 15oc temp difference between speedfan and core temp 0.94.

BTW Domino you really got some nice temps with that TRUE:thumb:
