Default Looking for an upgrade for i3-530

So, ladies and gentlemen of the HWC community... I ask of you... What would be a reasonable upgrade for my current i3-530?

I don't do much overclocking, and I would like to only upgrade the CPU, any suggestions on best bang/buck? I hear there's an i5-760 swimming around for the same price as an i5-750 at most retailers... Any light on that?

It's already at 3.8ghz or so...

Reason why I'm considering an upgrade is because I'm running my current rig (i3-530 @3.8ghz + GTX560Ti) on a 300w PSU... figured I would spring for the 450w Silverstone SFX PSU for a little piece of mind and upgrade the CPU along the way...

TBH ya I would just keep the 530. What do you need more power for if you do? I guess if you do ya, you COULD get a 760 or even a x3440 (quad with HT).

To answer your question: i5-760's have replaced i5-750's for the price/performance bracket.

If you don't mind buying used, you can find a i5-750 for <$150. It's best to upgrade your PSU first. :)
