Default NCIX soon to have updated SB mobos

I was just on NCIX's website poking around and thought I would see if they had any listings for SB mobos, knowing that they hadn't had any listings for the past few weeks.

Low and behold, they have listings for MSI updated SB boards, avail in 2-5 days. I am sure this means that other brands will soon be available.

My new SB build comes in at $1650 from NCIX.

Awesome!

hmm, its been saying that for a few days i believe, and if u scroll down to the actual MSI listing, it says "taking orders for this product", i saw one on amazon.ca yesterday available... but i am assuming that was one with the "bad" ports.

Honestly, I expect that NCIX will prioritize and set aside revised motherboard stocks for the first generation SB adopters. It wouldn't make sense to deplete what they have on hand for new customers, only to face the wrath of their current/previous customer base. If I were in your shoes, I would hold off for a bit before ordering my PC. There's a good chance you will end up waiting more than anticipated for your share in the mobo market! No point in hoarding all your components when you don't have a motherboard to install it in.

Just my 2 cents.

The msi guy has been posting. He will update that thread when he gets the boards in himself.

Had to dig so much to find that lol

Does anybody know how Intel are getting along with their motherboards?

Please explain your position, because I have 2 Gigabyte P67 boards (UD3) and I will replace with something else. Asus seems to be much more good to deal with the P67 problem than Gigabyte. They offer cross ship option when corrected boards will be available. With Gigabyte, I have absolutely have to deal with the place I bought the board. And the online site that I ordered the board will refund me, but they must have the board before the end of march. So no cross ship option for me, so at the end of march I will have my 2 computers down until newer boards will be available :(

Second, Gigabyte is slow in BIOS fix... on the Asus side they seems to fly on that matter.

What didn't you like with your UD7? (just wondering, because I have a UD3P that I'm turning in but I'm debating between exchange for the same part, or replacing with another board). The only issue I have with my UD3P is a very minor one, in which I would've preferred the RAM slots be farther away from the CPU so my Megahalems could properly clear them.

In either case, I'll replace my board when it's convenient for me rather than running on a backup computer or my laptop for a month while NCIX is congested.
