yeah, whenever i am back home i stop in and dig through the CPUs they have on hand looking for good batches. for a local shop they really do have good prices and decent stock. plus all the guys i have talked to there seem decent enough.

the real question is, do they have any E8500/E8400s that they don't have on their price list yet?

i missed out on PC Villages E8500/E8400s and am itching like a yeast infection to get my hands on a half dozen. anyone know of any other shops that got early stock? my local guy doesn't even figure to have stock next weekend which sucks.

I took EVGA because of the lifetime warranty and I like having matching components (EVGA GPU and Mobo - not that it really matters). I thought there was a stepup program on EVGA boards too but I think that is only for video cards?

I didnt know the Asus had solid caps.

Yes Asus does have solid capacitors, and there warranty is really good as well, eVGA warranty on mobo's is only 2 yrs if I remember right.
I find Asus for warranty is great, never had any issue's at all even when warranty was done, they have replaced them.
So I can not complain about Asus at all.

Went to OVT they have 3 left of the Asus P5N-T Deluxe Sli and two eVGA 780i left in stock.

I just checked the box and it says the EVGA has lifetime warranty and does qualify for the stepup program. I was getting a little worried there because I didnt actually check the warranty on the board before buying it.
