New CPU

So this is my first build, and I'm sitting here wondering if I should put the CPU in.. and once I do get it.. the metal bracket to secure it, I'm not sure how much pressure to put on this sucker, I took a pic, and don't know what to do. I know it's in correctly, the pins are all lining up. Just let me know if this looks right to you guys, and how hard to push, I just don't wanna mess anything up on it before I even get it working!

There's two little notches on two side of your CPU- they should be liniong up with two little bumps on each side of your chipset. As long as those grooves are lined up with those bumps, and all the pins are swettled down into the sockets nicely- make sure none of the pins are bending. If that all looks good then you're fine- there is a fair amount of tension on the spring lever. the CPU should be able to wiggle in there.

the cpu drops in easily but found the spring lever a bit disconcerting for the first time (due to the tension)...so I can see where your coming from
