Default Advice on mobo needed badly

Ordered a 780i (when it was in stock) and now the place I ordered from has stopped replying to most customer service requests/questions and I am presuming they cannot supply.

Anyhoo - I have a Q6600, Enermax PSU, 4 GB CB Tracer PC8500 1066 RAM and an 8800 Ultra looking for a mobo. I may SLI in the future so would like that option but would also consider non SLI boards. Primarily for gaming.

What mobo do you experts suggest that will utilize what I have above?

Thanks

You only have 680i and 780i for SLI and neither would I recommend at all.

For now the P35s unfortunately are the way to go as 780i is way to new and you don't know what type of bugs or what can happen and the 680i well its just junk.

GigaByte offer a few version of the GA-P35-DS3, if you need raid then take the DS3R

Kinda depends on what you're looking for?

eSATA matter to you?
Dual gigabit ethernet?
Number of SATA ports?
Overclockability?
Price?

That all being said, i too would strongly urge against the overpriced crapsets nVidia has put out, & since SLI & CF are largely a waste of money, i wouldn't worry about that.

P35 is indeed the best bang/buck option right.

Asus P5K series is nice.
Gigabyte DS3 series also.
Abit IP35 is another great option.

All those OC quite well, even the vanilla DS3L & P5K.

I did churn out better numbers with my P35 board then my 680i yes. The 680i has been working strong for me though, and I don't have any issues with it. SLI as well.
