My System Specs

Default H67 Motherboard?

Which motherboard should I get out of these two.
Buy Gigabyte [GA-H67M-D2] Gigabyte H67M-D2 mATX LGA1155 H67 DDR3 2PCI-E16 2PCI-E1 CrossFireX SATA3 Motherboard
Buy ASUS [P8H67-M LX] ASUS P8H67-M LX mATX H67 LGA1155 2PCI-E16 PCI-E1 PCI HDMI VGA Sandy Bridge Motherboard
I like the aesthetics of the ASUS beter but it costs slightly more. Is one better than the other in any way?

The gigabyte one will support crossfire where as the asus one you can only ever run one card in it.

Crossfire does not matter as I will only ever use the on-board graphics.

I ran dual 6870s on it and i never really noticed a frame rate hit (didn't fraps, used my eyes and same settings when on an x16 x16 board).

OP: if thats the case then there is no real difference for you and whatever looks better to you or best fits your budget.

I personally prefer Gigabyte over Asus when buying a lower end board. Asus firmware/BIOS has never been that great at launch, especially on the low end and sometimes questionable on the higher end. If you can wait for a revision though, it's usually fine.

I prefer ASUS and they certainly have the lion's share of the market. There is a reason for that....the consumer has decided that ASUS is the one. Perception is reality. When one considers the return rate of mobos and the fact that less ASUS come back, IMO, there is no other choice that I would feel comfortable with.

I noticed that the ASUS has an 8 pin CPU power connection but the Gigabyte only has a 4 pin. Does this make any difference?

Not really, especially if you're not putting in a video card or two.
