I chose the Gigabyte because it is cheaper, has more usable USB ports, and has features like on-off charge.

Oh no, the build is actually for my grandparents, and I couldn't overclock even if I tried with an h67 board and an i5 2300.

I thought it gave the board more juice in general not just the CPU. But I've been wrong many times before, just ask my wife....
