Default 2600k benchmark

Hi, I try to find benchmark for the 2600k that will reflect my usage, for now what I can found is bench with card like gtx 280, radeon 48xx series with resolutions of 1600 and lower. Nothing for peoples who game with gtx 480 or 580 wit 1920x1080 or higher monitors. The reason I ask is for now how compete a 2600k compare to a 980x in high performance situation.

If its just for gaming you will not see a difference at all. Hell a i7 920 at stock would perform around the same as a 980x or a 2600k overclocked as most games just need the multiple threads now and still the bulk of the processing is graphics card based.

Don't know if my question was clear, but I'm not looking for a bench tool, actually I'm looking for bench results showing the 980x and the 2600x with high end GPU and high resolutions.

As i started prior, there will be little to no actual difference due to the fact games dont uses enough threads to notice a difference.

Arinoth, you give me a conclusion, I want to see benches for make my own one, and they must be a reason why reviewers use low resolution and old GPU. As example HWC use a gtx 280 ? , make no sense to me to buy a new board a new cpu and use an old GPU. How the 2600k compare to a 980x when you sli 2 or 3 gtx 580 ? I'm still debating if I go for a 980x or a 2600k.

while you should benefit from more pci-e lanes on 1366, the sheer performance, and performance per thread per ghz of sb should make it a winner on anything but the apps that can actually work all the 980's threads

plus, for the sme money you get cpu,mobo,ram....
