Worth upgrading to SB from my E8400???
 

Hey guys,

I am at a cross roads. Would it be worth my while to get either a i7 2600K or i5 2500K over my E8400 O/C 3.6 Ghz. I want to keep as much stuff that I have. Just get the CPU, MOBO and Ram. I was looking at the ASUS P8P67 PRO for a mobo and g.skill for ram. You can see my system specs what I got. Thanks

If all you do is simply game then it wouldn't a significant gain in performance.

2500k, if you fold 2600k. no escuses right now now to get it lol. in a few months? hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm :)

Yah called -40 with the damn wind chill freezing all our brains up here haha.

I use it for gaming. Black ops, iRacing. Lots of racing and FPS. Stuff like that.
