With Intel still adhering to their tick / tock release strategy, it was only a matter of time until a new architecture was introduced and it's name is Sandy Bridge. Today marks the launch of no less than eight new desktop processors based on a highly refined 32nm manufacturing process and ranging in price from $120 all the way up to nearly $350. Their goal is to effectively replace a large portion of the Clarkdale and Lynnfield products while offering up stiff competition against AMD's current and upcoming CPUs.

Awesome review! Honestly these CPUs are performing a lot better than I expected them to! Imagine if they are running at 4.7GHz on air! What a beauty.

These processers look great. Thanks for the overclocking explanation.

Also using Deep Fritz as a benchmark was both unexpected and awesome. Now if you only had a Maxwell benchmark..

I still dont see anything about this (and I'm not even sure who would be responsible); Is some kind of 'optimus' like technology available via Intel/AMD/nVidia to use with these IGP's? Obviously it exists on laptops already...Can/will we be able to do this with desktops for power savings if wanted?
