now, if you stop and think about it, 250 cad would be about as fair as a price can get for a cpu in that class, taking in consideration they still make a lot of cash on that.

going by that price, a 930 should be 100 bucks, and i3's maybe 50.

let the mobo manufacturers make 500 dollar units, but for us, the little guy, still have the option to drop that cpu in a 100 dollar one and clock it like hecxk :)

I dont understand this logic at all, and totally disagree with it.

I can't find said pricing anywhere. I've go no clue where to look since all the major sellers online are still listing it at +$900. Even e-bay is $600 minimum right now.

Yeah, I've seen the 970 at $600 lots but it really doesn't hold any interest for me at that price. I'm just thinking I'll grab a 6-core in the future when the prices drop and don't know much about the price cycle or when to look, etc.

Edit: Oops... forgot about that stupid multi-quote thing again. Just not used to it.

You have to be employed in Retail of Intel parts to get the deal.
So people buy these and then resell them on KIJIJI. Used Calgery, RFD, and the like
If you buy one of them there is likely no warnty coverage at all !
You would have to get the person you baught it from to help you out if there is a problem with it.
Full Reatail is still 900 to 1000. Yep
