Huh...if you are a folder, you get almost double the PPD on a 4.0GHZ 970 over a 4.0GHZ 920.

Other than that, hard to put those cores to good use.

If you have the coin and want superior HW......why not?!

yeah 6 cores is to much for your needs. But, six cores is so much fun. altough, dont listen to me, I got 12 !

Sold hardware again.....
Currently using WHS hardware....

yeah, unless your folding.. or doing some serious high end encoding - the 970 or 980 isn't a worthwhile upgrade.

According to one of my friend, which he did the same thing as you do, upgrades from a 930 to 970. He said in terms of performance he did not realize a sudden boost in gaming. So unless you are running some programs that will fully maximize the usage of all cores, such as encoding or folding, you would notice a big change.
