The upcoming 1065T, at 2.9GHz and 95watts TDP sounds interesting too...
Very nice find Delavan.
I wonder if they'll ever bring a Stock 4GHZ chip out.

Now I hope that Bulldozer will become the "second-coming" of the Athlon64-era...That would be nice.
I could give a try to another AMD CPU!!! ( had a good time with that A64 3400+ Clawhammer back in the day) Well, they'll have to give their motherboard's chipsets a better TRIM support for SSDs first...

I hope all this fires up another board partner or two...that is what is really lacking on AMD's side of things. And yes, the TRIM support too.

ES samples of BULLDOZER will be coming soon, so hopefully we'll start to see benchies suddenly appearing!

From XBIT:
Quote:
The first engineering samples of Zambezi chips that will be available for AMD's partners for testing will be released already in December, 2010, about a month from now, sources familiar with AMD plans told X-bit labs. Production candidates should be ready by February and the initial production of the company's first desktop microprocessors powered by the long-awaited Bulldozer micro-architecture is scheduled to start in April next year. Probably, the launch of the chip will occur around the same timeframe.

trouble is, those es chips will be not very oc friendly, some say. so don't look at that, just have your eyeballs set for the multi threaded stuff...cinebench should be interesting.

If I'm not mistaking (could be wrong), cinebench is a number-cruching/ raw CPU power demonstration, but doesn't translate into "Awesome-gaming" CPU right?

not necessarily. if my neurons are firing in order after the beer setting, i believe it renders so yeah, it'll do good in games if it does good in there too.
