Default change i7-975 ---> intel i7-980x

Hello friends! tell them that I have wanted to change my i7-975 for a intel i7-980X, the use you'll give is to play and everyday, and I'm a fan of hardware.
It really notice the difference in performance or is it better to buy 2 hd ssd and put them in raid 0?
the rest of the configuration is:
asus rampage 3.
12 gb of ram 2000 mhz kingntons hyper X.
4x500 gb seagate raid 5.
2x500gb samsung raid 0 f3.
psu antec 1200watt.
Gtx260be 3x (3 way sli) + 8800GS for physics.

I'd just go for a single SSD. I don't know, maybe AKG can chime in here regarding SSD raid.

That beign said, the 980x is a really nice chip, but I don't really think it's worth it money/performance wise to get it over the 975.

I've been running a 965 EE since it came out, and I can't possibly imagine my system ever being more responsive by getting another current cpu. SSD though, the speed blew my mind.

If you are really down on getting two SSD. Get one for OS and one for games. Dont bother raiding.

I wouldn't change a thing man. Save your money and put it towards a car or something. That's already a wicked setup! If you do have to, get a SINGLE SSD. Dont even bother with RAID. Pointless at the moment.

Or if you have money get two GTX 480s or something. Seriously though, save your money.

Yes I agree on the "save your money" advice. You got a sweet setup, and you know it.

Get a 120GB SSD like the VERTEX 2 and be happy. Even a 60GB Vertex for a boot drive would be great.
At $220 the 120GB version is fast and cheap!!!

***SSD IF you have Win7*** if not, without TRIM, don't get one....IMHO

Wait until nVIDIA puts out a cooler, yet faster version of the 480 (hypothetical GTX 485 of sorts) and SLI 2 of those!!!
