Got a SSD? Or wait a couple days to see what AMD's next cards are like. I don't think you'd notice much of a difference in daily use if you jump to a i7 860/870, and I'd hesitate to do that with the new Sandy Bridge chips coming soon.

Gonna have to second the Vote for an SSD , Maybe a Kingston 64GB V II.
That or get a new VC. For Gaming the video card upgrade would be money well spent. But I would wait until after the 6XXX series launches (2 days) before deciding which card.

i wouldnt change that chip. i had an i5 750 and went to an i7 860 and noticed zero improvement aside ffrom rendering in maya. If i hadnt gotten my current system as cheap as it was, i myself would have gladly gotten an i5 750 rig again in a heartbeat.

A couple? I 'd go for an extra large triple-triple from Timmies...
Lol seriously now!
I would buy a heatsink for that i5 750 to OC it...

Then..if you're a gamer, I'd go the HD6000-series route...
If you're more of a general user/ web surfer and applications, I'd get A sandforce-based SSD...A Vertex 2 60GB for around $120 after MIR or a 120GB for $210 after MIR...

Do you have Win7??? if you don't yet, I'd go 60GB Vertex 2 + win7 home premium 64...

first of all i drink XL DD from tim.

OK so no cpu then.

i got about 350$$ to spend.

i know this is the CPU side of the forum but here is the almighty ?

would you get a TOP card from 6xxx series to replace my 5750 or a NVIDA card

or get a mid car WITH a SSD. i do have win 7 and would like to future proof myself so a 120gb would be good. dont mind spending the extra $

also got a xfx 9800 gt 1gb just sitting there still in plastic bag from RMA. waste really.
