Default Mobo suggestions for a possible X6 build?

Requirements:
1055T support (decent price, seem to overclock half decent)
2x8 or 2x16 Crossfire support
6 to 8+ SATA
PCI slot that would be usable in dual CF setup (you can pry my XM from my cold dead fingers)
preferrably a red black colour scheme like Asus's RoG lineup or at least something that goes easy on the pastel's everybody seems to be using these days

I'd like to go i7 but I just can't swing it and I'm overdue for an upgrade. Ye olde Q6600 must be 3 years old by now.

Are you still planning use your DDR2 ram? Or you want a total revamp with the works, ddr3 support/sata3/usb3. In my opinion your york field is still pretty good and i would suggest waiting until 2011 and see what bulldozer(am3+) and sandy bridge(lga 1155) has to offer in performance/price of course.

I'd be switching ram over as well, no point in clinging on to out-of-date tech for the sake of a 100 bucks or so.

As much as it may be killing you for an upgrade, I would also hold out a few more months to see bulldozer/sandy bridge. I know new technologies are always just around the corner, but this seems to be a major change.

This would be an end of Nov. early Dec. thing anyway. I like to research things well in advance.

Best bang for your buck i believe would be this ASRock 890GX EXTREME3 AM3 (newegg.ca,ncix carry them) it has 6 sata 3 ports, supports usb 3.0 and not 2 but 3 2.0 PCIE slots(8x8x4x) and for yours only <$160+it almost like asus rog colors (instead black+red it black+blue) also i believe you should be able to put your X-fi XM on it bottom slot. Hm on a side note i believe PCIE 3.0 coming in November so something else to think about. A lot new stuff happening

First one I added to my shopping cart, then I saw it was only x16/x4, I'm not going there again with CF.

Another on my list, NCIX didn't have it in stock (not that it really matters considering my purchase timeline)

GIGABYTE 870A-UD3 AM3 Motherboard Review

That one?, no, x16/x4 was more than enough of a turn off, I've already been down that road, I'll stick with at least x8/x8
