Default Difference between Xeon (X3440) and i5 750?

I'm just wondering what's the difference between Xeon and i5/i7 processors? would there be any benefits in getting an xeon over the i5/i7 for general tasks and gaming( with overclocking)?

The X3440 has Hyperthreading while the 750 does not. However, it has a lower stock speed (2.53GHz rather than 2.66GHz). They use the same architecture, and aside from that, they differ in name only.

its around 40-50 dollars more expensive, totally worth it if hyperthreading can be fully used.

to go on the internet and such no difference. games? probably but clock speed will probably decide first

Hyperthreading. Are you looking to render videos at all? or make use of the extra logical cores?
