I've tried Elpida and Micron-based memory modules without issue. As far as memory speeds, many are reporting DDR3-2000 9-9-9 as being VERY easy, although on 890FX motherboards. Not sure about 890GX or below. Lower latency support is generally awesome, you'll be seeing a flood of DDR3-1600-1800 CAS 6 kits for these processors.

I appreciate that this review put slightly more effort into over clocking the 1090T than Anandtech. They seemed to up the multiplier then called it a day and settled at 3.8GHz. Meanwhile a member of their own forums has the lesser processor running an additional 500MHz higher. Looking forward to the next post!

I'm running a Q6600 and felt like upgrading... for no sane reason... and I've been debating between AMD and Intel. Still can't decide.

NCIX has a $20 instant rebate on the 1090T (putting it at $314) and $7 instant rebate on the 1055T right now (putting it at $212).

Nice read. Hopefully someone will do a comparison of performance when using a DDR2 MOB. I wonder if all AM2+ boards will get support for these?

Great review! What are the temps like when running the stock AMD cooler? I only see results with the TRUE.

I'm on the fence between a 1090T and an i5 750.

Default re

Hi there, there it is:

Finally AMD is back in the race for real offering a wide and complete range of product against is competitor.
I like the fact that they do not concentrate on the super freak level but on the mainstream and lower level witch constitute 90% of the computer market.
They got cheap platform and cheap processor for every wallet.
The only thing that remain is this:
Do the Bulldozer processor family will be compatible with the am3 socket?
(As been said on many review web site)
