The chips, and 890FX chipset are still under NDA. I thought the date was today, but that might not be the case..........

edit:

According to the wiki, the release date is the 27'th......

That's possible, although it seems a little silly to not have the two together as most nda'd reviews are going to focus on running a thuban on it.....

I really hope I won't have to wait another month or so for CH4 Extreme

Sufficed to say you can come here tonight at midnight and start pressing the "Refresh" button. You never know, Sky or one of the other reviewers will probably have a placeholder before that even. Looking forward to it though! Where's the darn "Buy Now" button? lol....

There is no worry about this one. We are committed to bringing you guys reviews of as many AMD processors as possible over the next few months and as such, whenever an NDA lifts, we will do our best to have something up.

This is diplomatic NDA-speak for: "Soon, very soon *winkwink*nudgenudge*"

I don't need any benchmarks to tell you that's very unlikely. An extra two cores slapped on isn't going to make the architecture any better. Outside of heavily multithreaded applications, there probably won't be any significant performance difference compared to current Phenom II X4 CPUs. With that said, there certainly is a niche for these CPUs. However, the average user or gamer most likely wouldn't benefit at all from a Thuban chip.
