Default Gigabyte UD5 noise problem??

Hey everyone, I'm beginning a new search for a motherboard (for audio recording) and see that the many people seem to like the Gigabyte UD5. I've just came across this thread which has people saying that there is a noise problem with that board:

So, I'm wondering if you guys have noticed this?

Well that's a VRM sound. It's the sound of the electricity going in it. Some board will have it some wont but you can't know before to try it and the issue could have been the same using Asus or DFI or any board. Go with your UD5 it's an awesome board I love mine and if he do squeel then return where you get it and ask to change it with the other on the wall and you should be nice.

Thanks guys, good to hear!

Texas Instrument firewire chipset is sought after by people recording. There seems to be less problems with them.

you would have to go tru a number of boards, different revisions etc to plow up a schema.

its not like the infamous dfi black ed p35 winers ;)
