finally an Asus ROG Sky find exciting and with the right tag price. You get more my attention here. now the question guy, the board have 2 x 16 lanes, with a 965 at 4,0 ghz, what you think the gaming experience will be with a dual set of 5870 in xfire ?
I am getting excited simply because it is good to see one of these boards priced where it is within reach of more consumers. It's great news for AMD users, that's for sure.
As for your question, a HD 5870 won't be bottlenecked by an 8x interface on a lower end board so I don't think you would see much difference with a 16x / 16x layout.
Martin it's a ROG board, for sure the crossair IV formula is more beautifull than the extreme one ,I'm planing to build an AMD, but the board is red. will not fit the case I have in mind, will have to think about it
Was I right I am sincerly thinking of it with a side windows panel for my ATCS and for sure one of the sexa core AMD or the octo-core that are rumored for Q3 2010. If AMD can have real OCTO and instead of HT quad it would be an awesome gain for them regarding what they have right now.

No mention of a Black Edition but I would assume there will be one sometime down the road.
Dam. I would've preferred an NDA. Now I have to decide between the "less-easy" OCing of a non-black proc. Or wait even longer for the better yeilds of the Thubans to produce solid OCers known as Black Editions. Argggg
