I am getting excited simply because it is good to see one of these boards priced where it is within reach of more consumers. It's great news for AMD users, that's for sure.

As for your question, a HD 5870 won't be bottlenecked by an 8x interface on a lower end board so I don't think you would see much difference with a 16x / 16x layout.

Can you tell us if there will be a black edition Sky? Wait, no you probably can't. Dam.

Three more weeks to save up then.

Ahahahah!! That may just be, but I was thinking something along the lines of "Hex". Since Behemoth is running 4 hex procs and Stygian will soon join it, it seems appropriate.

I don't have an NDA.

No mention of a Black Edition but I would assume there will be one sometime down the road.

Was I right I am sincerly thinking of it with a side windows panel for my ATCS and for sure one of the sexa core AMD or the octo-core that are rumored for Q3 2010. If AMD can have real OCTO and instead of HT quad it would be an awesome gain for them regarding what they have right now.

Dam. I would've preferred an NDA. Now I have to decide between the "less-easy" OCing of a non-black proc. Or wait even longer for the better yeilds of the Thubans to produce solid OCers known as Black Editions. Argggg
