^^^ Are you also trying to run your RAM at stock speed Bob? I am now playing around testing with "VDroop Disabled" in Bios....now that I know a stable "load voltage" I can work from thier, for 4.11 with VDroop was vcore 1.4125 - 1.355 Load...so without VDroop tried 1.35v - load 1.364v...ran P95 fine for 3 hrs....so now dropped to 1.3375 and test some more.....perhaps it was really hindering my OC'ing with VDroop enabled....not sure how the vTT is affect by VDroop, maybe that dips dramatically as well......fun playing around with it though.....

Yes I''m going to try playing around with QPI once I nail down the lowest possible vCore / vTT at 4.11 "Without VDroop".....gives me a solid "base" to work from, instead of running around in circles for the 1st few days with settings / testing hoping I "luck" out.....I alwats tend to get hasty with my OC'ing when I get a new chip ;)

For 4.3 I'm thinking of trying QPI 160 Mhz 2;10 RAM and x27 Mult.... ;)

^^^^ A little tough to see, but it looks like 1.364v underload.....I wind up with 1.355v under load for 4.11....I guess my chip is in line with yours....

Here's the results of my Vantage run @ 4.33 Ghz 480's 835 / 1975 -applied about 1.125v (definitly too much as Temps were through the roof on the 480's).....I'm a noob with Overvolting GPU's ....hahahahah..some goofy shvt happening with my GPU's / display after that Vantage run..had to reboot ;)

Moved up a few more at Evga 480 Sli thread ;)

* With 980X I have consistently found lower Max Temps running LinX Test vs P95 and have also found that passing LinX consistently results in failing P95 (BSOD requiring further bumps in VCore). At this point its fair to say P95 is the better choice for testing 980X OC stability.



For 4.3 I went QPI 160 x 27 - RAM 2:10 for 1600 Mhz
vCore set to 1.4125v without VDroop
vTT +175 - 1.375v

Still very likely not P95 stable though...got me through the PhysX part of Vantage without going kack ;)

The overclocking results are looking good. I expect to have my i7 980x arrive either tomorrow or Monday. I've had the Corsair AX1200 for a few weeks now and it has been great.

I don't fold...I game...5870's FTW.
