I think this will help keep AMD Current for those on a Budget. Coupled with the upcomming 6 Core Processors it will definately give Intel a Run for the low/mid range segment.

Definitely a plus having native SATA 6 Gbps on the new chipset. Not only that, but since there's those extra 6 x1 PCI-E 2.0 lanes, there's plenty of bandwidth to add USB3.0. Overall I'm looking forward to how these things can perform with newer interface devices. This looks like a platform that will address the Intel vs. AMD debate! Both will be great buys, no matter which you choose :).

The IGP and SB850 is a bit disappointing. As is the 55nm manufacturing process. Nonetheless can't wait till these new motherboards show up on the market.

What? The 4290 (overclocked 4200) Is the best IGP out there right now.

Intel on the other hand is just as expected, just utter crap for IGP

Even the X58 is on 65nm Fabrication process.

True, but I was expecting a new IGP, like a 5200 or whatever. Maybe my hopes were too high...

The chipset has been in progress for a long time. Expect a 8x5 version for DX11 IGPs, just like they did with the 7xx series. And yeah, at 55 nm, this chip will run super cool.

It is equal to the HD 3300 in the 790GX, which was released in August 2008. That's zero progress in over 18 months. Very disappointing.
