Hi,

Can someone please review the x58a-ud3r.
like overclock, temps etc..

also why is the esata bracket different to the onboard esata?
And do u reckon the bracket is useful much?

Also can they fix the memory compatability with bios fix?
Cos I bought some gskill ram,

G-Skill 2 gig x 3 sticks of memory, part # F3-12800CL9T-6GBNQ

and noticed it is not on the memory list.
And someone posted in another forum,

that the same memory is causing problem.
IT won't BSOD with more than 2gb or not recognize in win 7 64bit.


I notice the p6x58d is support the memory but the board is more expensive and they seem to have cut out alot of features.

ie floppy, ide, esata on the back panel, less usb ports.

also the price is close the ud5.

Also is asus support worst than gigabyte?

Haha, the one time I tried to RMA a Gigabyte board they told me I was mistaken, he said they're motherboards never breakdown lol.

I am going by the X58A-UD7 since that is what I have. But AFAIK they are very similar.

1. The memory will work fine. Just because it isn't on the compatible list doesn't mean a whole lot. I use the exact memory on mine.
2. The eSATA ports on the motherboard are USB/eSATA combo ports. Which IMO are one of the coolest things I've ever seen. The ones w/ the bracket are just normal eSATA.
3. I've heard that Asus really has improved in the past year or two. Before their support was atrocious. Gigabyte isn't anything great, but they respond to an RMA request w/ in a day. And usually take three to 4 weeks to get the board back to you.
