I think it's because everything now is so "bleeding edge" no matter what price range we're talking about.

If you think about it..... every main component of a PC (except for audio) has at least two big players pushing out hardware in an attempt to one-up the competition.

That's great for folks who don't mind tweaking their kit to get it to work, but it's a nightmare for the folks who make the other parts to try to get everything else to play nice in the sandbox.

Silentjay? Have you used one? They are buggy as hell. The more I work with these boards, the more I hate them. They work fine at first, but at this point, my own board can't even run stable with 2 DIMMS at stock speeds. Memory performance seems to continually degrade from when you first fire it up and onward.

The ASUS P5N32-E im using now is alot more reliable after 3 days of use than the EVGA 680-i mobo was.

Im not going to use the EVGA board once the RMA comes in...ill use it on another system and phase-change it to play with (already built)

what do you mean by more reliable-- what were the problems you were having with it?

you would think that it would love your memory seeing how it was pretty much designed for that board
