Not sure about folding, but it is definitely possible. Though the gaming performance isn't as good as it is when using a single GPU.

You don't need Hydra to do this.

One of the staff here uses his onboard ATi GPU for his day to day stuff and a GX2 for folding and its run good so far.

ST

what if you put the ati as gpu0 and the nvidia as gpu1 , you just don't fold with gpu0

I will try it on my Maximus III when I have an extra card, I may have one but someone here get it before me

Doesn't Windows 7 allow both Nvidia and ATI drivers to be installed simultaneously?

I can't say for sure that you can actually run the two cards simultaneously, but I do know I've got both drivers installed right now.

EDIT: I'm running a GTX 275 so when I boot up, the Catalyst thing will tell me that I don't have an ATI card.

Yes. WDDM 1.1, which is the display driver model used in Windows 7, allows multiple display drivers to be active simultaneously.

Affirmative. Have tried it with 4850 and 9800GX2. However! Drivers tend to blow up in some games

You can always buy the MSI Big Bang w/ the Hydra200 chip in it...
