I have an Asrock s939 dual sata and its just laying around doing nothing. For asrock dual sata boards the 1t cmd rate barely works with 2 sticks and dual core cpus. For a single core cpus it works great. I did alot of timewasting research after I bought the board. I haven't done any overclocking with this board, but i heard its decent. The unofficial forum for this board is at ocworkbench under asrock you will find all the problems and modifications there. If you can't find a new one, you can gladly take mine. hahah

Absolutely Yes!!! If you can get your hands on one!!!!!

You may want to have a look at the DFI section of DIY-Street for their OCDB (overclocking data base) entries.... excellent resource for S939 steppings.

I think the 939 Dual-SATA2 is a great board for overclocking. I did the vcore mod, but I found with three s939 cpus now that once you hit the wall @ stock vcore you can't overclock much further anyhow, and the extra heat generated by added voltage isn't worth an extra 100mhz or so.

I just upgraded to an ASUS A8R-MVP for the crossfire option now that I've moved from AGP to PCIe. I'm running the exact same overclock settings which has the FSB @ 270Mhz. I ran my old Venice core 3000+ on the Asrock board @ 300Mhz X 8 for a long time with no issues at all.

I still have the Asrock board and I don't really want to sell it but I have a friend who's s939 mobo crapped out on him. Oh well, it'll be cash towards my second card I guess.

I don't regret owning it and I really recommend it for any budget builder looking for an excellent upgrade path. The ULi chipset makes that board a solid contender. As far as I know the only thing different with the vista version is the onboard audio has been changed for driver compatibility with the new OS.
