Default P55 Motherboard

I have another question that is related to the motherboard. So far, I have reduced my choices to three:

Asus Maximus 3

Evga FTW

My first question is about the Asus, first is the socket issue related to overclocking that bad (I want to overlock that i5) or it is only because the people upped too much the voltage and it caused problems.

Second, the sound card with the maximus is it much better than the on-board sound of the other two boards? I always had a sound card with my computer so it will be either that or one from Azuntech.

Third, I heard about a double boot "feature/problem" with the EVGA (on the EVGA board). Is this feature really that bad for components or people are just blowing that out of proportion.

Thank you very much,

The problem of the socket apear only on high OC with phase or LN, you will mostly never have this problem with water or air, I read someplace that Asus change their socket for Lotees now.
I have the Maximus III board, it have an add on X-FI card like my rampage and maximus. you really don't need an other card with those one. unless you are very purist.

My System Specs

If you get a Gigabyte P55A-series mobo, they all use the good Lotes socket so no problems there.

Personally I wouldn't spend over $200 on a P55 mobo. There's not much point at all. If you're going to lay down $250-350 on a P55 mobo, you may as well just go with the X58 route - at least you'd get 2 real PCI-E x16 holes.
