Default Socket 939 motherboards

Hi you dingdongs,

I'm looking for a replacement socket 939 motherboard for a pc I found near a dumpster in my building. The old motherboard was an ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe, it worked for a like a day and then died.. I tried to get an RMA from Asus (The chipset fan had failed) but those meatballs didn't go for it.

So this leaves me looking for a new motherboard, the A8N-SLI had dual gigabit ethernet which I would like to see again, and hopefully use DDR2 ram (I've got some lying around).

Any recommendations? I'm not a gamer so I really don't need anything too "totally awesome" .. something cheap would be nice.

Also, I'm hoping to either order it off the "internet" or buy it here in Edmonton.. anyone know a good place to buy used / old parts here?

Best pals,

Spaghett.

PS> Sorry about calling you a ding dong, it's not personal.

Unfortunately that socket is waaaay obsolete and it only uses DDR ram. Chuck it back in the dumpster or try fleabay/redflag deals.

Anyone willing to part with a socket 939 motherboard?

I don't have 25 posts yet (minimum to post in that category) but you can help me pad my numbers here.

So friend, do you like kitty cats?

that sort of behavior is discouraged, as only contributing members are allowed the privilege of posting in the BST section.

I can just wish you luck in your search. Every day peoples ask me for boards ,,,, the problem is that a lot of them burn their board so it give hundreds , if not more cpu available than boards.

Well, that is an interesting way to start ones stay here at HWC. Not quite sure if I called people dingdongs on my first day.

That being said, Socket 939 motherboards, you can still get one kind new from ASRock. They have one type still in production. So check over on their website for it and hopefully you can find an e-tailer near you that stocks it.

Enjoy your stay.
