Default e5200 or e5300

on newegg.com they've got both of these cpus and it fits my budget well, esp with promotion right now with e5300 being cheaper.
which one would you recommend me to get? it'll be for general use + for folding along with GPU.

(i know it's newegg.com but i'm here for school atm)

thanks

Considering there almost completely identical, but e5300 is 100Mhz faster (.5x multiplier more I believe) and costs less? I think thats your choice right there.

I oced my e5200 266x12.5 on everything stock out of the box, love it. If e5300 is faster and cheaper, why not.

The only difference is clock speed, so if the E5300 is cheaper and faster, there's no reason to go with the E5200.

Why not go with the new E6300? Faster FSB + overclocks very well.

e6300 cost much more and for folding CPU doesn't do much. received my e5300 today. too bad it's older batch without VT but i'll be putting it on XP so it doesn't matter
