Default Difference b/w E8400 and E8200 other than speed

I originally had 200 dollars to spend, and was gonna buy the ATCS 840, but I've thought it over and bought the Lancool K62 instead. So now I have ~100 to spend.

Tiger Direct has the E8200 for $140 which compare to 180 that the E8400 is going for, I think I'll take the E8200. Now is there any reason I shouldn't buy this, perhaps a better value CPU (at 100 ^_^) or the E8400 is just better (other than speed).

My mobo is an ancient one, the Asus P5KPL-VM. Not sure if it supports the E8200 or E8400, but I think it should. Right now I'm having the E4500 at 2.8Ghz. I'm upgrading because I think the CPU might be bottlenecking the 5770. Oh, and I play games at 1900x1200 if that helps.

Thanks, and please excuse any grammar mistake. (I can't see them ^_^! )

My System Specs

Default

Speed is the only difference andyes your board will support this CPU with a little bios flash. But seriously, I wont put it on this board. These board are said compatible but haven't been create for these CPU. Most of the time we see that capacitor around the CPU will burst ( reference P5GC-MX and P5Kpl-CM ). Your actual CPU is not bottlenecking the card. The 5770 is just a little under the 4870 for performance so you will be ok.

that's weird, at other forums ppl have been telling me that my CPU is really slow, some even say even 4950 is bottlenecked. Well I guess I'll just save the money then, thanks again martin_88. If you're selling your ATCS 840 anytime, pm me : )
