Alright thanks guys. Now I'll feel worried if I get anything other than the EVGA lol. I guess I might as well get the FTW version since it's on sale for only an extra $30 I GUESS... :)

Uhh like $100 :) haha but really though all I see is an extra PCI-e x16 slot that operates at x4 and ALSO:

Delivers up to 600w of CPU Power

That is huge power to CPU :O

Gigabyte is great to deal with for RMA. Ive sent a few boards back to them and ive gotten a speedy turn around every time. Arent all the boards essentially the same as the pci express lanes are on the chip and scrapping the chipset altogether, or do the EVGA SLI boards have the nforce200 chip as well for the added gpu expansion at full tilt?

Just read that there is a double-boot thing with the ftw board. They (EVGA, and even Shamino) say it's a normal feature designed into the board. So it will start to boot, pause, and boot again on every cold bootup. An older Gigabyte P965 board I had did this. My Asus board doesn't. I have no idea why EVGA brought this "feature" back

Here's a response from the man himself, the designer of the board, Shamino@EVGA:

P55 boot issue

hi its part of the bios programming, i can only say i hope you dont hate the mb becos of this
Lol, that doesn't really tell me what the purpose of what it's there for. Apparently it's to switch to clockgen mode(?), after look at a few other posts on the forum. To allow better overclocking somehow

Their explanation is very vague, like a lot of manufactuer responses The clockgen mode thing must be it then, I guess it's a minor inconvenience that supposedly helps with overclocking.
It's interesting that the ftw board is kind of like a DFI in some ways, as it has some unconventional features and a more complex bios than the average setup. And a decent cpu socket.

Surprised there's no mention of the MSI P55-GD80 in here. Awesome board, LOTES socket, etc...
