The fact that you bought it recently may work in your favour. But you stated that it had been in the mail for 4+ weeks. I highly suggest you provide them with proof, such as the tracking number along with the invoice.

Otherwise they will merely look as though you purchased it more than a month ago, and that is definitely far to long to report a DOA incident

If you get the board back with the bent pins, take the plunge and bend them back. It's not hard, unless it's a real, real, real bad case

hmm my socket has weird spots like that sorry hard to describe but it looks different from all the other pins on my classy. But i have a 920 with no problems so i guess its fine
