The interesting thing to look at is performance vs. power.... TomsHardware did an article on that and for an E8400 the sweet spot was ~3.4GHZ IIRC. I keep mind at stock to save power. Less power for CPU = more power for folding without my parents bugging me!

Well, i OC'ed my AMD 5200+ from 2.7-2.97 and everything "felt" faster and smoother. No longer did i have to wait for my computer to start up and load everything.

I also some extra fps w/ my 9600GT too.

I dunno, my system is pretty damn fast on stock settings, I just don't see much benefit from cranking my 965 really. I'm sure I could in gaming find more performance but if I dont run bench marks I dont know that I'd really notice it.

well you can trade me for a 920 and i can take to no-mans land for ya are you sure you didn't just want to say hi i have a i7 965. Just because you don't use your chip to it fullest does not mean someone that would could not see a major benefit from oc it.
