Default EVGA X58 E760 Classified vs E758-A1

Guys i posted my specs before:

i7 920 D0 with CM v8 HSF
OCZ XMP Ready Series 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)
150 GB WDRaptor+1 TB WDCaviar
CORSAIR CMPSU-750HX 750W
XFX Radoen 5850

Now i got opportunity to buy E760 CLASSIFIED($315) over E758-A1($265).
Do you think it won't be overkill for single card users?
Will E760 outrunn allo ther x58 boards and E758-A1 included ?

For a regular 24/7 PC I don't think you will notice a huge difference between the two. The classified may yield a slightly higher overclock, but unless you are using extreme cooling such as phase I think it will be marginal at best. I think that $50 would be more well spent getting an aftermarket cooler for your GPU so you can overclock it so the GPU is much more critical for gaming than the CPU is.

Do you mean for regular users like me it isn't worth over E758-A1 right?
E760 CLASSIFIED got just 1 PCI slot, it won't be problem for further upgrades?

PCI is a dying spec. But I agree, the Classified just isn't worth the money unless you intend to be on the bleeding edge of overclocking, and even then, I believe it only shines under very high end water setups or sub-zero cooling.

The Classified doesn't give you any real benefits unless you are using extreme cooling (which you aren't). Go with the standard 3X SLI board.
