My System Specs

Default Q9550S Where?

Are these vapourware or what? It doesn't appear as though NCIX has ever had any in stock, and Newegg has delisted them. (Note the S, this is the lower wattage Q9550)

I think they were a project from intel witch just never get out. Well, now with I5 out...we don`t really matter the 9550S are out or not.

Ask for more.

Well MAC have a point here:P but I think it`s less expensive to get a Q9550 for 230 and paid the electricity bill XD

It's certianly a cheaper upgrade path from a Q6600 than I5.

Testing has shown that the S model doesn't actually consume much less power than a normal chip, and you can just undervolt a standard Q9550 to get the same power savings. So you're better off just doing that. Plus, having a CPU that runs hotter means that you'll have to run the heat less during the winter anyway ;).
