Default Striker Extreme: Won't Boot!

Hello!
I just installed a Striker Extreme Mobo, and it will not boot. Here's my specs.: OCZ GameXStream 850 watt PSU/1GB Patriot PC2-6400/GeForce 7950GTOC/Antec 900 Case/Intel Core2Duo E6600. Anyone have this problem with the Striker?
I've tried a few things, including swapping out the vid card, memory, clearing the CMOS, etc. to no avail. All hardware was working in a previous life, in my P5NSLI.
So, anyone have any ideas what the problem could be?
Thanks in advance!:help:

Have you tried all 10 steps found here: http://www.hardwarecanucks.com/guide...ery-guide.html ?

But very quickly I would try to boot with a single RAM stick, and trying all 4 slots.

No luck with the single RAM stick. I'll have a go at the "ten step" program. Thanks for the advice!

Keep us posted. Then again, it could simply be that the mobo is DOA.

Hello! Yes, it powers up, all the fans are working, the hard drives gear up, all the LCDs on the mobo light up. The reading on the LED is "CPU init", which if I am correct, means the CPU is intializing, but it hangs there, nothing else happens. "No Signal" is what my monitor tells me (we're on speaking terms!). NCIX has kindly sent me an RMA number, so I will likely ship it out on Tuesday next. I've not had any dealing with them in the past: is it likely they would send another board, or a refund? I guess I'll have to wait and see! That's quite the nice little Mobo.

You can choose to have either a refund or a replacement when you RMA. If you choose a replacement, they will only send the replacement item once they received the RMA board.

If you can't wait, you can also buy another (same) board and have it shipped right away. Once they receive the defective part, they will refund you.

As for troubleshooting, did you try to flash the BIOS? Do you have another RAM stick, with 1.8V default voltage? I don't know about the Patriot sticks, but default Ram voltage may not be enough.

Use a ps2 keyboard and mouse. go into bios and select default setup save reboot, power down, reconnect your old keyboard and mouse. Razor mice and some logitec keyboards have known to cause this CPU init problem on strikers. Hope this help for you.

Hi Icedog! Couldn't get into BIOS: no signal to the monitor. It's on it's way back to NCIX! They'll see about a replacement or refund.

Hello! The mobo is back, and I was wondering if there is a proper way to install it. As far as I know, bolt it in, attach the leads, and fire it up. Based on my last experience though, I'd like an opinion on the "best practice" method! I've got PC2-6400/800MHz 2x1GB memory, an OCZ GameXStream 850 watt PSU/ Intel Core 2 Duo CPU. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!
