I wouldn't say this board is overkill.. i would say it hits the mark nicely. ATX like features and performance in a mATX size. And i love the colour scheme

I need one of these for my current portable/power hungry build

i'm with Akai, how is this board overkill? i mean, it is the perfect - although nothing is perfect - little X58 mATX motherboard. like the RE Gene, it serves a very demanding market and i think does it quite well. the majority of my complaints about this board aren't really about the board, more what EVGA hasn't done with the board that they could have...if that makes sense.

plus, the color scheme is great, Classified package without the Classified logo

I looked at this for my watercooled HTPC, but decided for GA for $75 less. Good review.
