My System Specs

Default Phenom II X2 550 -X4 Vcore max

Hey everyone,

I'm having one hell of an issue oc'ing this cpu past 3.8ghz.... I dont think its my ram, but the chip seems to need a lot of volts to get stable @ and past 3.8ghz. I dont think I've hit a wall, I'm just afrade to go past 1.45vcore with a 24/7 oc....

What would you reconmend as the top 24/7 vcore for this chip as a quad?

My 720BE its sitting at 1.45v right now testing 3.4Ghz X4 stability (which im not even sure of yet) lol. Sufficied to say, i think the bios for the XFX board is outdated. But still, 1.45v its O.K. for Ph2s, provided you have good cooling/mosfet cooling/nb cooling (i use spotcools).

up to 1.55v is considered "Safe" by AMD's engineers.

But good cooling is a must if your going beyond that.
