Default some questions about the pc...

Hey guys, just a friendly question about the rig down here :)
How long till you think I will have to put money in it again? I'll see how the new need for speed will act on it, and some other games.
If I could pull it off for about 2 years..maybe even 3, who knows.. after that I would like to change the mobo, ddr3 maybe and a new cpu.
Doesn't seem to worth it putting money in it right after I bought it..
What do you think?

Default tough question

I think it will be ok for another year with the graphics card. Depends on the resolution of the monitor and if you want all the options on high. Crysis and bioshock are supposed to run ok on 512mbcards 7800 or better. I think youll need to upgrade the GPU if the games get more demanding than those and hope the cpu will keep up?

Well I don't really play every game that has been out. Like Stalker, Fear, hum, Call of Juarez. Tried them, they work but I'm not into that thing..
So I think I'm gonna be fine with this rig, depending what I play...

I think you should be fine for a while. Just be looking forward to be playing on minimum specs in about a year.

minimum specs?...depends on what I'll play.
Well, I think I'm gonna wait for some good ddr3 kits, mobos and procs as well.

If you drop in a 8800GTS/GTX and maybe overclock your CPU, it'll probably last you longer with higher-quality settings. Most new games will have DX10, so if you want all the eye-candy, you'll need it a better video card with DX10 support.

Still depends on what I'm gonna play..We'll see what requirements nfs pro street's gonna have.
Mostly I play CS:S and Wow when I have time. I didn't got a game to test the full power of this rig but still I'm going to wait on some new processors from Amd and some good ddrIII mobos....Maybe I will get another pair of Ocz Platinum 2x1GB if DDR3 is gonna be too expensive...
I hate waiting...

Just keep in mind, 4GB of RAM = 64bit OS. Otherwise it's kinda wasteful as you'd only use like 3.5GB.

From the screenshots/videos on NFS Pro Street it looks pretty detailed graphics wise. Like I said, a 8800 card would probably hold you over with newer games for a while, unless you like playing on low settings.

We'll see how the ddr3 mobos and kits will perform and what will be they're pricing. As well for the next Amd processors. If I will not be amazed and will need extra power gonna switch with Intel.

I'm kind of curious about AMD's next move too. Those Core 2's are just obscene. For $450 I can make the switch to one. That's too tempting.
