Will the P55 FTW 200 have 2 full 16x slots when only 2 slots are used?

Hmmmm

LOW INDUCTANCE CHIP CAPACITORS
The key physical characteristic determining equivalent series
inductance (ESL) of a capacitor is the size of the current loop
it creates. The smaller the current loop, the lower the ESL. A
standard surface mount MLCC is rectangular in shape with
electrical terminations on its shorter sides. A Low Inductance
Chip Capacitor (LICC) sometimes referred to as Reverse
Geometry Capacitor (RGC) has its terminations on the longer
side of its rectangular shape.
When the distance between terminations is reduced, the size
of the current loop is reduced. Since the size of the current
loop is the primary driver of inductance, an 0306 with a
smaller current loop has significantly lower ESL then an 0603.
The reduction in ESL varies by EIA size, however, ESL is
typically reduced 60% or more with an LICC versus a

standard MLCC.

According to the documentation I have in front of me, no.

The layout is: 16x / 8x / 8x / 8x constant.

I'm pritty sure any P55 board is only capable of 8x/8x. Its physically not possible on the P55 chip, unless EVGA adds in another NF200 style chip.

Any NF200 on P55 chip will have its lanes split into x8 slots.

Impressive-that FTW is a beauty.
No more hulking north-bridge-P55 looks to be a bit of a monster.

I'm currently getting the parts for my i7 and when I seen the P55 FTW I thought for a minute it had 2 full 16x lanes and it surprised me....Its a nice looking board thats for sure.
Can't wait to see how it overclocks, I'm sure you guys know but can't say anything until the release. When is the release date?

Hmm..I'll probably be buying an EVGA P55 but I'm torn between which one.

The SLI or the LE?

And are the price differences noticeable or like $10?

Unfortunately, I can't comment about pricing at this time. What I can say is that it will be more than $10.
