Great to see this review go up. I own one myself, and know that there are quite a few members who've been looking at this board.

Wow that is an amazing board. I liked how you took the initiative to try all those BIOSes and also try out the quad core unlock. This is one hell of a motherboard.

lemonlime, this was one of you better reviews! Excellent j0rb!

Nice review. It certainly gives food for thought regarding the purchase of new AMD processors. :thumb:

This board looks great, how's MSI warranty service with their motherboards compared to ASUS/Gigabyte? I still remember people with MSI 7900GTX who were refused to RMA because the part was "out of warranty" when the company just waited one or two months for the warranty to end by itself before sending an email.

Something I realize was not mentioned in the review is that MSI RMAs ALL mobos here in Canada to their facility in Ontario. 3 year warranty and in my experience, the Canadian RMA folks are top-notch. :thumb:

I am concerned with the durability of the motherboard. How would you say the durability of this board compared to brand names such as gigabyte or asus? What the hell should we general end user watch out for in terms of specification that will give us an idea of the a board's durability(i.e overclocking)? is it the phase pwm thingie? or is it more of a luck of the draw?

Good review. Glad to see an AMD board review for once. :thumb: Speaking of which, whatever happened to that Gigabyte GA-MA770-UD3 review anyway? :haha:

Anyway, thanks for the review. Also, interesting to hear that MSI does its Canadian RMAs in Ontario. Might try an MSI board next time around.

More luck-of-the-draw, but it often can be found in on-line reviews. (keep in mind the scale of sales when it comes to reader reviews.... if a product is 10X more popular than other similar products, it only stands to reason that there will be 10X more duds that make it into the retail channel).

If your concern is that you don't know the MSI name... they've been around for years and have (for the most part) put out quality parts.
