Hey HWC,

What's ur opinion on the upcoming 785G motherboards. I know i'm excited, how bout you?

Gigabyte's GA-MA785GPMT-UD2H - AMD's 785G is Here, Sort of...

Apparently it can unlock core too. SWEET!!!

It'd actually be great for budget gaming too. I bought a 780G mobo for my sister and she can play source games (CSS, TFC, L4D) at around 30fps on her 1280x1024 monitor.

Definitely a plus for HTPC's and mild gamin. WoW addicts won't have to get a discrete card for max settings. Or could the 3200 max it out before? Haven't played wow in a long time.

hey new guy: wat are the settings for the source games? and how well does the HD3200 fare against games like Call of Juarz Bound in Blood and Far Cry 2?

I'm not sure what settings she uses. Probably the game's defaults at 1280x1024 resolution. I don't have coj or FC2 so I can't comment on those.

who knew DDR3 ram was so cheap. 50 bucks can net you a DDR3-1666 set by G SKill :)
