How well does that CPU run games? The low L2 cache makes me nervous and I have been eying that E2140 for a gamer. I already have a compatible mobo, I have just been waiting for people's reviews on it. Any info on how well it games would make me so happy.

PS: That sure is one hell of an overclock, especially for the $$$, NICE!

As soon as my XFX rig is up-and-running, I'll post some #s with that same E2140, water-cooled. But that oc is mighty fine.

The cache has been proven to slightly affect performance, so I think you'll be happy with this chip. It will be great for gaming if you can hit 2.8ghz or higher, seeing as it can compete or exceed a FX-60.

Great stufff! It's funny how your cpu temp is being read as lower on the higher clock speed. It was 41 degrees on your first post and now its only 39! Only 3 degrees difference I know but at 3 more hours under load as well! Did you change the cooling setup in any way?

Must have been a quirk, it stays around 45ēC.
