Default New Core 2 Duos! Whos got one?
As well all know July 22nd (tomorrow) is supposed to be the release of these new processors, however I've seen them on some websites (directcanada.com amongst others) and I've seen them all over the web on forums. Does anybody here have one? I'm really quite interested in the E6850. Payday is friday and I just got my Silencer 750 Quad and 2GB of OCZ Platinum a couple days ago!

So has anybody here done any benchmarking with these? I want some opinions on a forum I'm familiar with! Thanks.

Yes!! I need to know about these myself.. Are they a quality processor or
S H I T? The price is almost unbelievable, if this is the case (they are a good processor) then I will book to NCIX first thing tomorrow and get one.

The second componet to my new build. First componet is a Lian Li V2000II case.. Oh you gotta love it!!

The won't be shipping until the 23 so unless somebody has an in, we won't see what they're like until then...... (and even if they do have an "in" they probably wouldn't be able so say until afterwards anywise.... :) ).

Q6600, $312 tax+shipping? is that the new price?

also, I'm still undecided...Q6600 or E6850? Q6600 has 1066FSB, E6850 1333. quad-core is more future maybe...

Go for the quad ... and use it's idle cycles to fold for HCF

If you do go for the 6850 (which will likely oc higher than a quad) it will also be an excellent rig for folding in its spare time!

With any luck, I'll be getting a Q6600 in the next week or so.

I'll install F@H, might as well make use of that computing power :D. Up until a while ago I was doing SETI@Home on here.

My E6750 is here! Just installed it into a new evga 680i sli. Hoping it will be solid first before I attempt anything. Speedfan reports the cores running at 10 degrees and 13 degrees while TAT reports them as 10 and 15. Anything more reliable out there that I can use?
