Default gf8200a compatibility question

ECS GF8200A Review - Overclockers Club

Wondering if this motherboard can utilize such cards say as a 285gtx, or 4870x2?

My friend from over seas has it and wants to upgrade his video card from an 8400, to something good. I don't see why it would not, but just wanna ask here first. The 8400 he installed is PCI E 2.0 so anything newer should work right? The cpu is a Phenom quad core also.

Thanks.

Bigger card like GTX or high end ATI will block sata port but yes it will work with no problem.
